December 6, 2011 - As chairman of the International Republican Institute, an organization dedicated to fomenting extraterritorial sedition and revolution throughout the world, US Senator John McCain has become a central figure in the current Western-engineered campaign against the Arab world. The IRI was even credited by the New York Times as helping "nurture the Arab uprisings" by funding and training activists from across the Arab world who would later go on to overthrow their respective governments. Unlike many of the other podium-bound puppets that constitute Western politics, McCain is fully aware and very public about the final destination of the unrest and now open war, he is ceaselessly promoting.
Colored Revolutions and "Regime Change": Washington
Attempts to Destabilize Belarus
by
Michèle Brand
On
June 29 and 30, US Secretary of State Hillary Clinton was in Vilnius, Lithuania
to participate in a meeting of the "Community of Democracies” and to visit one
of the many US-funded international "tech camps.” These camps host "civil
society” (i.e.opposition) activists from various nations whose governments the
US doesn’t appreciate, and teach them internet and social network organizing
skills to be used toward fostering, in official words, "democratic transition,”
or more correctly, color revolutions and regime change. According to the AP,
"Much of the democracy meeting’s opening day dealt with the new mechanics of
protest, such as social media networks.” During her visit Clinton stated that "The United States has
invested $50 million in supporting internet freedom and we’ve trained more than
5,000 activists worldwide.” This is of course in addition to the hundreds of
millions that the US
spends in other ways attempting to destabilize its enemies and to force
"democratic transitions.”
Does NATO Plan to Attack Syria and Iran? Moscow Says Yes, But Don't!
Haggai Carmon
Those who wondered why the U.S and its European allies limit their reaction to the Syrian massacre of its citizens to lip service only should listen to the Russian offered explanation. The Russians believe that the message NATO and the U.S are sending Syria and ultimately Iran is, "we are coming soon to attack you."
With a faltering economy, rising unemployment and a dysfunctional political system, why are the White House and Congress committed to the U.S. eternally policing the planet?
On July 25, while John A. Boehnerraced around the Capitol desperately pressing Republican House members for votes on a debt ceiling bill that Harry M. Reid was calling dead-on-arrival in the Senate, the new U.S. ambassador to Afghanistan, Ryan C. Crocker, took his oath of office in distant Kabul. According to news reports, he then gave a short speech warning that Western powers should not "rush for the exits" in withdrawing from the war.
After Dumping 30% Of Its Treasury Holdings In Half A Year, Russia Warns It Will Continue Selling US Debt
Tyler Durden
Just in time for the end of QE2, when the US needs every possible foreign buyer of US debt to step up to the plate, we get confirmation that yet another major foreign central bank has decided to not only not add to its US debt holdings, but to actively sell US Treasurys. The WSJ reports that "Russia will likely continue lowering its U.S. debt holdings as Washington struggles to contain a budget deficit and bolster a tepid economic recovery, a top aide to President Dmitry Medvedev said Saturday. "The share of our portfolio in U.S. instruments has gone down and probably will go down further," said Arkady Dvorkovich, chief economic aide to the president, told Dow Jones in an interview on the sidelines of the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum." Well, with Russia out, at least we have China and Japan continuing to buy US debt....
The retiring US Defence Secretary, Robert Gates, expresses dissatisfaction with the lukewarm participation of the European countries in NATO’s military actions in the Third World e.g. Afghanistan and Libya. He said they were "willing and eager for American taxpayers to assume the growing security burden left by reductions in the European defence budget.” The Europeans, according to him, should be able to go to war alongside the American forces in the Third World. The US troops were in Europe for that purpose.

Recycled revolutionary "props."
by Tony Cartalucci
First noted by geopolitical analyst and historian Dr. Webster Tarpley, some suspicious similarities could be seen between the Egyptian unrest and another, known US-backed uprising in Serbia. Serbia's Otpor, or the "resistance," was funded to the tune of millions by the US National Endowment for Democracy. Its signature clenched fist logo adorned flags, signboards, and t-shirts carried by the US State Department-laid astro-turf until the ousting of Slobodan Milošević in 2000.
NEW YORK – Just a few years ago, a powerful
ideology – the belief in free and unfettered markets – brought the world to the
brink of ruin. Even in its hey-day, from the early 1980’s until 2007,
American-style deregulated capitalism brought greater material well-being only
to the very richest in the richest country of the world. Indeed, over the
course of this ideology’s 30-year ascendance, most Americans saw their incomes
decline or stagnate year after year.
The debate is over; the revolutions are fake, the people behind them illegitimate. by Tony Cartalucci
CANVAS leader Srdja Popovic stands here before Columbia, a public sponsor of the US State Department's Movements.org. While he denies he is being funded by the US government, just as his disingenuous movement did in 2000 before being found to have lied, his organization works in tandem with the US State Department's agenda and the various organizations it openly funds.
